What size is a Bahrain passport photo?

The e-passport guidance referenced below specifies a portrait image 32.5 mm wide and 43 mm high, described as a 3:4 image. MULTIPASS uses a 900 × 1200 pixel working export for this preset; that is our export size, not a verified mandatory upload resolution.

Check the application portal for its current file-size and pixel requirements. A correctly sized picture alone does not guarantee acceptance.

Taking a better starting photo

  • Stand in front of a plain white background.
  • Use even light and avoid shadows, glare and flash reflections.
  • Keep the camera level and your full head visible.
  • Save the original image without beauty filters or retouching.

Use the Bahrain photo tool

  1. Open the Bahrain preset.

The button on this page selects Bahrain and Passport for you.

  2. Upload a clear portrait.

Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP photo. Standard processing runs on your device.

Check the framing and the preset warning. Keep your original; do not assume a cleaned-up image is suitable for submission.

Common questions

Does MULTIPASS guarantee passport acceptance?

No. Automated checks and formatting are preparation aids. NPRA decides whether a photograph meets its requirements.

Is Bahrain Passport the same as Bahrain Identity Card?

They are separate presets in MULTIPASS. Select the document you are applying for and follow the relevant issuing authority’s instructions.

Do I need advanced AI cleanup?

No. It is optional, and its edits conflict with the unaltered-photo guidance referenced for Bahrain passports. Start with a well-lit original photograph.
